Working out

Apparently the talk of weight has hit home with my children. They listen when it's not important, and don't when it is. Every year I make a goal to loose some of my excess and every year that lasts all of about 2 minutes. Chandler has made a workout routine that consists of 100 sit ups, and 30 crunches. He weighed in last night at 58lbs and Madison thought she should weigh in as well, she is at 60lbs. This brought on a whole new round of histeria with her, so she asked...

Maddy- Chandler are you sure you weigh 58lbs?

Chandler- Sure am!

Maddy- How can I weigh more than you?

Chandler- I work out and you don't that's how!!

Madison- I'm fat, mom how did I get so fat and are you fat?

Me- *laughing* I don't think I am fat

Bapstism Day!!

Doesn't she look terrified? Poor girl, it was a looong and at sometimes painful road to get to this day. We were wondering if this would ever happen, but we were surprised that one person could have such an impact to get it done. This day was so special on so many levels, and we are greatful for everyone that helped. Whether it was a listening ear or just showing up with 2 hours notice. I know it meant the world to Maddy, and it meant the world to us. December 28, 2008 is a day that a miracle happened, that we will never forget.

Christmas with the neighbors 2008

Christmas day we went over to our neighbors to drop off these awesome ponies!! Ayva and Laila LOVE these things and ride them everyday. I am so the favorite, I wouldn't let Adam take them in I just couldn't chance it. The girls gave our kids this awesome game that they have been playing with non stop. Nate and Lezlie gave us a way cool family gift. They gave us a container filled with sundae making stuff, and an ice cream slab like they have at cold stone!! We have loved it and the kids want to use it everyday. My waste line has suffered :)

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas morning, Santa dumped a very special gift for the kids (and Adam) They were lucky enough to get a PS3, aparently the XBOX is so 2005. Maddy got her cupcake maker, Chandler got his drums, and Brackston got his cell phone. We had and still have a ton of garbage from all the presents they got :) They all got way to much stuff, and I get to find a place to put it all.

Sledding 101

Your face is not the way to stop a sled that is out of control, period. Next time I will just ride it out and hope for the best. We spent the day sledding in Mendon with my in-laws, and had a great time. Some injuries where sustained (ok only I have battle wounds) and listening to my mother in law scream as Adam gunned it on the 4 wheeler was priceless. She was hanging on for dear life, it was awesome :) The kids had a great time and never wanted to leave, however my 30 year old body was ready after the first injury :) I think we will do it again, I will be staying in the car! Too bad the camera had dead batteries, yeah too bad.

Thanks for your love notes every morning on the stairs, they mean the world to me :) Thanks for being a great brother even when it's hard, and being a wonderful example to all of us.
